The tale of the neverending Dimensity 700+
Vivo announced yet another budget 5G phone called the Y27 5G. In typical BBK fashion, it comes with an attractive premium-like design and an expensive price tag.
The phone features a 6.64″ FullHD+ (2388x1080px) IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch and sadly, only 60Hz refresh rate. This waterdrop notch houses the 8MP selfie camera.
At the back is your 50MP+2MP combo camera and LED Flash. It’s quite clean here because the fingerprint sensor is located underneath the power button. If we explore further inside, you can find the Dimensity 700 chipset (not named Dimensity 6020 this time), a 5000mAh battery with only 15W fast charging, and 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. It also has access to a MicroSD Card slot and an additional 6GB Virtual RAM that temporarily eats your storage.
It comes in Satin Purple and Mystic Black. It has 5G services, Bluetooth 5.1, and Dual-band Wi-Fi. It also has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm jack. It runs FunTouchOS 13 based on Android 13. No word has been made yet whether this particular budget phone will be available in the Philippines.
