Itel P40 Plus Spotted on Amazon India! A Budget Phone with a MEGA 7000mAh Battery!

No one said we couldn’t bring the sun into battle.

Itel is a company only a few may know of but they have released a large number of smartphones. They are the budget arm of Transsion (granted Infinix and Tecno also focus on budget phones). The company caters to a specific budget-conscious market but their phones have always more features than what their price asks for.

Here is the P40 Plus. Previously, the company released the P40 with a 6000mAh battery. Pretty big right? Well, Itel can go further with a larger 7000mAh battery! This charges via a USB-C port. Sadly, it only supports up to 18W so who knows how sluggish this thing actually charges.

It was spotted first in Amazon India with a price tag of “under INR 9,000”. Based on the render, it has a modern “Realme-like” design and a punch-hole notch. One could even confuse it for a Realme C-series smartphone.

It also only has two cameras. The front panel is a 6.6″ HD+ (1280x720px) IPS LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It also uses an octa-core UNISOC Tiger T606 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both of these are expandable. Virtually for RAM and through a MicroSD Card for ROM.

Going back to the cameras, the main shooter is a 13MP camera with the other “camera” is an AI sensor. The front features an 8MP selfie camera. The phone has a dual-flash to keep colours balanced.

It has 4G LTE, a 3.5mm jack, a dual Nano-SIM slot, Bluetooth, and Android 13 Go Edition to boot. It may not have a fingerprint sensor. When it does, it’s embedded underneath the power button most likely.

It is yet to launch in India and no word has been made by Itel Philippines for its local launch.
