There are phones with too few specs, phones with just the right amount… then there’s Transsion with overspecs
The Infinix Note 30 5G was launched just a few days earlier. When it was released, we were stunned. How could they pack so much in a PHP10K package, let alone have 5G in it? The answer? Lack of software updates and ads bombarded right at you.
The spec sheet of this is unbelievable. First, you get a 6.78″ FullHD+ (2408x1080px) IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Inside is the “new” MediaTek Dimensity 6080 which is identical to the Dimensity 810 paired with 8GB RAM (+8GB Virtual) and a choice between 128 or 256GB ROM and the freedom to add a MicroSD Card to expand it. 256GB under 10K is something you will only see when reselling very old flagship phones.
The cameras are nothing out of the ordinary. It is a 108MP sensor paired with a depth camera. While ordinary, it’s still remarkable since phones at this price range have far fewer pixels. There’s also a 16MP punch-hole front camera for selfies and videos.
Inside is the All-Rounder battery charging tech that the company is boasting. It is a proprietary technology with the objective of keeping the phone longer by bypassing the battery while charging, similar to how a laptop functions. This one has 45W. The only phone that comes close is the Wiko T50 with 40W charging, which we have reviewed. The phone has a standard 5000mAh battery.
Among other things, the phone has 5G services, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, a 3.5mm jack, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Another great feature here is the JBL-tuned speakers which is a very very rare sight on a 10K budget. This means sounds and audio would feel immersive, strong, and loud.
It comes in three flavours: Sunset Orange, Magic Black, Interstellar Blue. The 8/128 trim is priced at PHP 9,499 while the 8/256 trim is available for only PHP 9,999. The pricing is quite close but that’s intentional so you would buy the higher-end 8/256 variant instead. It is available on Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and physical stores nationwide. If you want to buy the phone physically, you have to wait until June 6th.
