We’re aware we are writing this three days late but love knows no bounds right?
Three days ago, the Realme 10 Pro and 10 Pro+ launched in the Philippines. If flowers aren’t your thing and chocolates just feel cliche, maybe make your fiancee feel valuable by giving them a phone instead. After all, the radiance of the Realme 10 Pro and Pro+ do feel like they are indeed intended for Valentine’s day.
REALME 10 PRO 5G:
This phone right here is a sidegrade of the Realme 9 Pro. Like its predecessor, it retained the same 120Hz IPS LCD screen (for shame) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. It uses a Samsung ISOCELL HM6 camera with 108MP “ProLight” resolution alongside a depth sensor. We’re back to two cameras because a lot of content creators (us included) noticed that macro cameras are really not that useful. We’re also compensating it with a higher-res camera which could zoom in without losing that many details. The 2MP depth sensor remained because bokeh effects are still pretty hot.
It comes with a usual 5000mAh battery and 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. It uses USB-C to charge. In the Philippines, the phone comes in only one configuration: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage with MicroSD card support. It comes in Hyperspace Gold, Nebula Blue, and Dark Matter Black all of which are made using earth materials and not space materials.
The price may surprise you but it’s Php 16,990. Pricey sure because you could get the Honor X9a for almost the same price but you get a curved AMOLED screen instead.

Realme 10 Pro+ 5G
In our previous article, we mentioned how the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G has a Dimensity 1080 chipset because everybody else’s Realme 10 Pro+ has it, but apparently here in the Philippines we’re getting the same Dimensity 920 chipset as before. A shame. Because the phone’s only substantial “upgrade” is the camera, in the loosest sense.
This pricey sidegrade comes with a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen, the same 108MP “ProLight” Camera as the Pro 5G (remember when the 9 Pro+ was praised because it uses a flagship-tier camera with OIS? Not happening here) and the same 5000mAh capacity battery but with faster 67W fast charging.
One thing’s for sure, a curved AMOLED is not a common sight to see in its range so at least it has that going for it. Among other things, it has USB-C, NFC, and a Dual Nano-SIM Card slot. It also comes in the same “Hyperspace” design as the Pro.
You wouldn’t believe this thing costs Php 19,999 (8/128) and Php 24,999 (12/256). If you’re more into camera experience, get the 9 Pro+. Otherwise, if you’re into screens and want to feel like you’re holding a flagship, get this one.

The two phones are available now in third-party retailers and official Realme concept stores and kiosks. They are also available online through Lazada and Shopee. If you couldn’t pay the whole phone directly, Home Credit is also available. See the above picture for prices and payment length.
The Realme 10 Pro 5G, until today, is discounted to just Php 14,999 plus you get two years worth of warranty and a FREE Globe 5G Prepaid SIM with 65GB data.
If you want the 10 Pro+ 5G though, tough luck. Title is sadly slightly clickbait (sorry). It will only be available for pre-orders starting February 27th until March 10th. Howeer, you will be able to receive two Realme goodies with your purchase. There is a Realme Powerbank and earbuds for the 8/128 variant and a DIZO Star feature phone and earbuds for the 12/256 variant. You could claim these items March 11th and 12th.
Realme said that the Realme 10 Pro 5G sold out within three minutes. That’s the power of brilliant marketing at hand, because the phone is effectively just a sidegrade of the 9 Pro. The device is currently out of stock but will be re-stocked so users could still catch the Lazada early-bird price.
Aside from that, Realme is also doing a “Spot the Real Pros” event in 30 participating concept stores nationwide. This promo awards Realme 10 Pro or any Realme AIoT device (worth Php 9,000) buyers a chance to win a Realme TechLife Handheld Vacuum cleaner worth Php 8,990
“We are humbled by the overwhelming support from the realme Squad and our media partners”, says Austine Huang, VP for Marketing. “We sincerely thank the thousands of viewers who tuned in to our realme 10 Pro Series 5G launch yesterday, and we promise to match the same level of enthusiasm with everything we have lined up for 2023.”
We seriously couldn’t wait what other surprises Realme has in store this year. Because the Realme GT 3 with 240W fast charging (the maximum limit for current-gen USB-C) is one of them.
