OnePlus officially kills the OnePlus 7 and 7T series

The end of an era. The true end of the Pei saga.

The OnePlus 7 series was the last OnePlus phone beside the first Nords to have been witnessed by its founder, Carl Pei. After the 8’s introduction, Pei left the company, and OnePlus started revamping its brand. From simply changing its logo to merging with Oppo. It was the last “original” OnePlus.

So we’re actually pretty sad to see its send-off. It is the end of a great chapter in OnePlus’ history and the start of a new one. In OnePlus’ forums, the company quietly announced the last update for the OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, and the 7T series. It was a silent death, sniped from above, stabbed from behind.

The update, internally named GM1903_11.H.32 (GM1901_11.H.32 for Indian users) for the OnePlus 7, and GM1913_11.H.32 (GM1911_11.H.32 for Indian users) for the OnePlus 7 Pro, introduces the December 2022 security patch and improves on performance. Moreover, this last update improved connectivity for the 7/7 Pro/7T devices. The patch will be available to “a small percentage of users” at first, but will be rolled out globally and in India in the coming days.

The OnePlus 7T has the following update string: HD1903_11.F.18 (HD1901_11.F.18 for Indian users) while the OnePlus 7T Pro has the update string HD1913_11.F.18 (HD1911_11.F.18 for Indian users).

As the last update for the OnePlus 7 series, you would think that these phones would at least get a proper send off. A comment in the forum suggested that the forum post should be pinned and written separately, as opposed to just another regular community post which is hard to see because it will be bombarded by other posts after it.
