Cherry’s new tablet is here! It comes with a large 2K display and quad speakers

And as for the chipset? Just leave that one in the bin.

Cherry released its most grandeur tablet a little more quiet than usual, strange. But it’s available now, and it’s called the Aqua Tab Ultra.

The tablet is large and nearly bezel-less, similar to modern Android tablets now. It comes with a 10.4in. 2K (2000x1200px) IPS LCD screen and comes with a quad-speaker, though it has no audio tuning like Dolby Atmos. Strangely, Cherry removed the headphone jack for this one, but the box did include a USB-C dongle to compensate.

The tablet has magnets at the bottom to support wireless keyboard docks as well as stylus support. In addition, it comes with a premium metallic build.

The chipset is a 12nm UNISOC T618 chipset running at 2.2GHz. This chipset is comparable to chipsets like the MediaTek Helio G85 and 88. This is paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Once again, a strange choice for a tablet.

It comes with a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera and the UI is similar to that of a freshly made Android 11 (wherein other tablets now come with Android 12). On the other hand, this comes with one advantage that other tablets rarely have. By default, it has 4G LTE services alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and so, it makes for a good school use tablet in case you need data services.

The battery is small, 7100mAh and only 18W fast charging. The battery drain on this is going to be wild. It is priced at Php 12,999 and is available via Shopee and Lazada, as well as Cherry’s own flagship stores and kiosks.
