People are really spending a day to flock a line for a pill notch. Couldn’t blame them though, it’s been two years since then.
Yesternight, the call of the night has rung among iPhone fans! Many pre-order customers had lined up to claim their newest and shiniest iPhone 14, ranging from the basic iPhone 14 all the way to the Pro Max with a pill notch! It’s been two years too since this type of event filled up Apple stores, where Filipinos across the entire three large island groups flocked over to their local Power Mac Center stores as early as 7am in the morning!
To entertain those waiting during the night, a party was held. Popular celebrities like Sarah Geronimo, Zack Tabuldo, Paulo Sandejas, and others sang throughout the night. It’s like a free concert! Well… not exactly as you do need to purchase an iPhone 14 to line up and that can be extremely costly.
As we mentioned in our previous article, PMC truly prepared for this glorious comeback to physical lineups. They even offered special deals for those who will trade-in their older iPhone units for the newer iPhone 14 models!
The party occurred in Greenbelt 3 but Power Mac branches in Eastwood, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Aura Premier, and The Loop UP Town Centre also joined in the fun as they too opened their doors for this exciting once-in-a-lifetime party. Some customers even managed to bag Php 28,000 worth of premium accessories from several partner brands!
“These midnight launches allow us to create a memorable shopping experience for Filipino Apple fans. We prepared a lot of surprises for this comeback year to truly make watching the clock together a uniquely Power Mac Center experience,” said Joey Alvarez, PMC Director of Product Management and Marketing.
To recall, a purchase of any of the four iPhone 14 units will grant a 50% discount on AirPods, 10% of on any Apple-branded iPhone cases, and 15% off on any Beats by Dre product. In addition, select non-Apple products are also discounted to 25% until tomorrow, October 16th. The Power Mac Center website also allows for free shipping if you prefer shopping online.
If any user of the PMC loyalty program uses their existing points to pay for or discount any iPhone 14 model in any Power Mac Center or the Loop Stores from October 14 to 16, then they can be part of a raffle that lets them win 2,800 points (Php 1 = 1 point). Only 14 customers are selected so you could really feel the luck tonight.
An online celebration also happened in TheLoop’s Shopee. Here, every single checkout of any iPhone 14 model entitles a customer to up to P3,000 worth of free premium accessories from Power Mac Center’s partner brands, as well as up to 25% off on participating Apple and non-Apple accessories. iPhone 14 orders are also available for free shipping from October 14 to 16, 2022.
The phones were anticipated since the launch back in September, and the first Filipino user to get an iPhone 14 was Joey Reyes who lined up for a total of 41 hours in PMC Greenbelt 3 (that’s some crazy dedication right there) to get the new iPhone at launch.
