Oppo A16K, Oppo A16, and Oppo A57 4G now official!

Three new phones were released by Oppo. These are the Oppo A16K, A16, and A57 4G. They offer a similar premium-like design and dual cameras. What’s different is what’s inside them.

Oh, they are also pricey compared to phones of the same spectrum.

Oppo A16K

The Oppo A16K is an ultra-budget phone from Oppo. Like many of Oppo’s budget phones, it is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Combined with Oppo’s ColorOS 12.1, this makes for an unpleasurable lagging experience. The System Booster inside may help

It has a 6.52in. HD+ (1512x720px) IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has a 4230mAh battery inside too. It comes with a single 13MP camera with the second hole just saying “AI” so don’t get fooled by it. It has a 5MP front camera.

There are two colours to choose from Midnight Black and Blue. It costs Php 5,999 to purchase.

Oppo A16

A slightly more powerful phone than the A16K. This phone comes in 3/32 or 4/64 configuration and again uses the MediaTek Helio G35 which is, for some reason, a company favourite.

Price starts at Php6,499 for the 3/32 configuration in Crystal Black and Space Silver, and Php7,499 for the 4/64 configuration with colours Crystal Black and Pearl Blue.

Oppo A57

The Oppo A57 4G is a reboot of the original Oppo A57 that was released back in 2017. The new A57 4G has kept the same premium-like design as the original, as well as the same 13MP camera.

The new phone now features a 6.56in. HD+ (1512x720px) IPS LCD screen, a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with 4GB RAM and either 64 or 128GB internal storage. The RAM can be expanded virtually (up to 8GB) and the storage physically via a MicroSD card.

It features a 13MP+2MP rear camera setup and an 8MP camera sitting on the waterdrop notch. It runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. Its main feature is the 5000mAh battery with a fast 33W SuperVOOC fast charging inside. Oppo claims that this can charge your device from empty to full in 72 minutes (although our test results show it’s actually slightly faster than that)

Price begins at Php8,999 for the 4/64 variant and comes in Glowing Green and Glowing Black. Meanwhile, the 4/128 version is priced at Php10,999. There is also a Gold colour for the base 64GB variant.
