It is a typical upper midrange phone with a 120Hz OLED screen and Snapdragon 778G chipset.
In Azerbaijan, Xiaomi has officially revealed the Xiaomi 12 Lite. As the watered-down version of the flagship, it comes with midrange specs while also keeping the same feel and aesthetic as its more expensive counterpart. Let’s get to this while the much-awaited Leica-powered Xiaomi 12S series is being unveiled today.
The phone has a 6.55in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is equipped with the popular 5G chipset, Snapdragon 778G. Like its flagship sibling, it dons a triple camera setup, although they are far weaker.
The main camera is a 108MP sensor. This camera is also complemented with an 8mp 119-degree ultrawide camera and a 2mp macro camera that, to this day, remains questionable in practical usage. The front camera is 32MP in resolution.
In terms of battery, it’s on the smaller side, 4300mAh. Although this is paired with 67W fast charging. You might notice a pattern of using larger batteries but slower charging, or faster charging but smaller batteries. This is to prevent the battery from short-circuiting and eventually causing the phone to explode. The last time both are in sync, Samsung got themselves in deep trouble.
It boots with MIUI 13 based on Android 12. The phone has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. In comes in green, pink, and black. As the phone is not officially launched yet, these specs may still change so sit back and take the information here with a grain of salt until Xiaomi says anything.
It is priced at AZN 999 (~Php 32.3K).
