The renders showed a clear back instead of white, but they are still accurate to the original design.
Nothing has revealed the Nothing Phone (1), at least on what it looks like. Earlier renders were accurate apart from the colour. The renders showed a clear transparent back while the actual phone showed a white back retaining the C-like logo shown on said renders. To us, the renders were better as they stood out from the crowd from a sea of glass backs, but this looks good too.
In an interview with Carl Pei by The Verge, he said that the back strips behind it will have illuminating lights which is made of transparent material. The phone will officially launch via live stream on the 12th of July and sales may start first in North America. The phone is rumored to be equipped with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, an odd choice for a first-time release.
The light strips were shown off at the Art Basel event in Switzerland.
In addition, it will also come with NothingOS, an Android skin that has barely any bloatware which was the original vision of OxygenOS. There is also reportedly wireless charging which is what the C logo is encircling.
