Cherry teased two new smartphones coming this 29th April! Both have 5G services and the other has a dual front camera

The popular local ODM has some interesting stories to tell.

We already discussed how Cherry is hyping up its loyal fanbase and other users about an upcoming event. The event is coming on 29th April with Cherry announcing their first 5G phones!

Notice how we said, “phones” as in “two”? Well… in a newer post, it turns out, there might be two new 5G phones that will disrupt the market once again. Cherry’s strengths include their hardware specs which deliver blows even to more popular brands like Xiaomi. This strategy has stemmed since the Flare S8 days.

In the post above, it appears the other phone has two front cameras and looks like a Google Assistant button. Because of this poster, we now have confirmation that one of them will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone on the left looks similar to the HiSense Infinity H60s 5G, a phone we have discussed months prior and has been released in China. It’s actually a phone we wish was brought here to the Philippines. Cherry might be making that wish come true, and if it is true, we’ll try our best to obtain one and bring it in for review.

If that is the phone in question, then this other Cherry Mobile 5G phone may have the same specs. These are the 6.6in. FHD+ AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a Mediatek Dimensity 810 chipset, 4200mAh battery with 30W charging, and 108mp quad rear camera. The front has two cameras including a 16mp main and a depth helper, which we believe is still useless no matter where you put that in. The camera arrangement sort of reminds us how Vivo designs their phones.

If these specs are for real, then it will be the first time since the Flare 5 that Cherry is opting for an AMOLED display. This shows Cherry can really compete with Chinese OEMs like Realme and Xiaomi and can have an international-like status. It’s like the Filipino version of India’s Micromax and Lava.
