That feature is just so it can differentiate itself from the heap of budget phones. Or for short, a gimmick.
The Infinix Smart 6 is another typical budget phone that was probably made from recycled phones. Its main gimmick is the anti-bacterial back design as claimed by Infinix. Oh also, the company continues its deceptive design by making you think it has more cameras than it really should. Don’t get fooled, there’s only two cameras there.
It has very typical budget camera specs: a 6.6in. HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen with a waterdrop notch, a typically large 5000mAh battery, an 8mp + 2mp combo, a 5mp front camera, plastic back, and a rear fingerprint scanner. The phone uses an unspecified 1.8GHz processor (possibly UNISOC) that’s paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is considered insufficient for today’s Android standards. It also has DTS Audio processing for high-quality audio.
While the design above is different from what we’re getting, the specs are very similar. The only difference we can see is the dual front flash and higher storage, other than that, everything else is identical. The listing though has the phone coming with a 13mp main camera and AI lens (although it appears to have three lenses at the back), and the third lens is not listed. The front camera on the website is listed as 5mp whereas, in Shopee and Lazada listings, it is listed as 8mp. The processor is also neither specified in the listing nor the website. Our colleagues from GizGuide said that it has a clock speed of 1.8GHz. Every source differs and varies so only Infinix knows what’s actually inside the Smart 6.
On our spec sheet, we’ll follow what the listings say since that’s the one being sold here.
