For UniPin users, you can now top-up UniPin credits via GrabPay!
UniPin, one of Southeast Asia’s leading game reloaders and “digital enablers” has just announced that you can now top up on GrabPay and is selected as a payment option. This provides for a more convenient and more flexible way for users who use GrabPay as a sort of e-wallet.
UniPin saw the opportunity and took it. In their findings, they found out that there is a steady increase of GrabPay users in the Philippines. In 2020 alone, the number of people who use e-wallets rose to 24.6 million with figures that could potentially reach around 76 million according to Statista.
As the payment option to gaming vouchers becomes available, it can be selected in each transaction under the Wallet payment option on UniPin web checkout. The amount of purchase will be deducted from GrabPay balance. Hundreds of online game vouchers and game titles such as Genshin Impact, PUBGM, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, and many more, could be purchased using these payment options.
Cynthia David, country manager of UniPin Philippines has stated that adding GrabPay makes the gaming experience much more convenient. “UniPin is strengthening the e-wallet payment by adding new payment partners, giving our customers more convenient and versatile options for payment. In line with this, there will be regular activities and
promotions with these partners to raise more awareness and give more benefit to customers with various sales promotions.”
Grab has been previously used as a ride-hailing app in a similar fashion to Uber. However, as time flew by, the company has expanded to more than just another Uber clone, and in 2018, has started expanding to food delivery, wallet and payments services, and even a supermarket. Today, they are called by different names, such as GrabFood, GrabPay, and GrabMart respectively. GrabExpress is used for logistics and GrabCar (formerly GrabTaxi) is the main flagship product of car ride-hailing services.
