It is the company’s first 5G phone.
Tecno has announced that it is releasing their first 5G phone in the country. It’s called the Pova 5G, the series known for their large batteries and good power efficiency as well as budget gaming.
To recap, the Tecno Pova 5G has a large 6.9in. FHD+ IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It has a hole punch for its notch. The phone uses the Mediatek Dimensity 900 5G processor, two steps ahead of the Mediatek Dimensity 700, and given the price, it’s actually quite affordable and forgiving. This is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
There are three cameras at the back. The main one is a 50mp main camera while the other two are just fillers. The selfie camera is the usual 16mp. There’s also the fairly large 6000mAh battery coupled with 18W fast charging. In addition to its already gaming-centric feel, the phone is equipped with Tecno’s Panther Engine that allows the phone to adjust its performance depending on the activity. This also includes the refresh rate. Also, the phone has virtual RAM capabilities.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
