An affordable 5G phone with 120Hz refresh rate and dot notch!
Motorola has released the G51 5G in the Philippines just as they have released the G31, which is their main contender against the Redmi Note 11. The main feature of the G51 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chip, which is the upgraded version of the Snapdragon 480
Other notable features of the phone include the 6.8in. FHD+ IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, a rare feature for a budget phone. There’s a triple camera setup, the typical 50mp + 8mp ultrawide, and a 2mp macro so nothing special to see here. For the front, there’s a 13mp front camera on a dot notch.
It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos sound, and IP52 splash resistance to add a bit more durability. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chip is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The main downside of the phone is its charging rate. It has a 5000mAh battery with regular 10W charging. No fast charging here. The Indian version gets 20W though but we’re only getting 10W.
In the Philippines, the phone is priced at Php 11,495 and is available through Lazada and Shopee, as well as authorised third-party stores.
