Another mundane and boring launch and essentially is just a filler like every Redmi Note now is.
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 11 series globally with a different design in comparison to their Chinese counterparts. The global version has a design similar to the Redmi Note 10 series and possibly the Infinix Zero X series and has little to no significant differences to its predecessor. I’d rather call it “Redmi Note 10.5” instead of Redmi Note 11 honestly.
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro 5G
Like its predecessor, The phons have some pretty aggressive specs for something that’s budgeted. Starting with the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro 5G which are essentially the same phone but with a different processor.
Starting with the display, it’s a fairly large 6.67in. AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate for both devices. Both are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and have a total of 1200nits of brightness.
There’s a quad-camera setup for the Pro 4G at the rear and a single 16mp front camera on a dot notch. The main camera comprises a 108mp main sensor, an 8mp ultrawide, and two fairly useless 2mp macro and depth sensors that even the Chinese version removed. The Pro 5G has omitted the 2mp depth sensor but the rest are identical.
Processors are where the two start to differ significantly. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor while the Redmi Note 11 Pro uses a Mediatek Helio G96 processor. The Snapdragon 695 is based on a 6nm process while the Helio G96 is based on a 12nm process. However, these two processors offer a linear performance despite these huge differences. The pair are complemented by either 6 or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and either 64 or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Both phones will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 11 and also features Xiaomi’s LiquidCool cooling technology. Also, unlike the Chinese variants, both phones offer a MicroSD Card slot for up to 1TB
It is powered by a 5000mAh battery complemented with 67W fast charging. It retained the IR Blaster and 3.5mm jack, as they traditionally would have. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with support for facial scanning.
Both phones are available for pre-orders today. The Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G starts at USD 299 for the 6/64 configuration, USD 329 for the 6/128 configuration, and USD 349 for the 8/128 configuration. Meanwhile, the 5G variant starts at USD 329 for the 6/64 configuration, USD 349 for the 6/128 option, and finally, USD 379 for the 8/128 variant. It’s a shame that the company did not even include a 256GB in any of the two phones, as other companies had already.
The phone is available across Xiaomi’s official online channels and would also be available in select countries.

Redmi Note 11s and Redmi Note 11
As per Redmi Note traditions, there are usually one or two phones that should be a diet version of the Pro subseries. Like the Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 11 series comprised of the “S” variant as well as the vanilla variant.
The Redmi Note 11s is essentially a “lite” version of the Pro phones, having retained the 108mp camera used on the Pro version. Like the first two phones, the Redmi Note 11s features an AMOLED screen, although it’s slightly smaller at 6.43in. and also has a slower 90Hz refresh rate. The Redmi Note 11 also has the same screen and both feature an IP53 splash resistance rating. Both screens are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
As mentioned earlier, the Redmi Note 11s retained the 108mp camera used for the Pro series, including the complementary ultra-wide and macro sensors. It is the same ordeal as the Redmi Note 11 except the resolution is halved. The Redmi Note 11s uses a standard 16mp front camera while the regular Note 11 uses a 13mp front camera.
Like the Redmi Note 11 Pro, the Redmi Note 11s uses a Mediatek Helio G96 processor. Essentially, the Redmi Note 11s is just the Pro 4G with slightly weaker display and screen protection, as well as slower charging. The vanilla variant uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor based on a 6nm process. They are both paired with 6 or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and either 64 or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Both of these phones have a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and also feature dual speakers that are strangely arranged on the top and bottom parts respectively. As per Xiaomi tradition, both phones feature an IR Blaster that can be used to control certain appliances like TVs and air conditioners. For biometrics, both feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi Note 11 starts at USD 179 for the 4/64 version, USD 199 for the 6/128 version, and USD 229 for the 8/128 version. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11s starts at USD 249 for the 6/64 variant, USD 279 for the 6/128 variant, and USD 299 for the 8/128 version. Both of these phones would soon be available in select countries on different partner stores.
