The Mediatek Dimensity 7000 may be based on a 5nm node and may support 75W fast charging.

It’s essentially a lower-tier variant of the Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Mediatek Dimensity 9000, the first 4nm chipset released.

A few days ago, Mediatek announced their latest chipset for flagship handsets called the Mediatek Dimensity 9000. Its most notable feature is its 4nm TSMC process, which was the world’s first. The chipset also has significant improvements in terms of power efficiency, performance, and AI.

Now, new information has passed through Chinese social media website Weibo about a lower-end version called the Dimensity 7000 that is based on a TSMC 5nm node.

For now, no new information was given by Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster. However, he did mention that the fast charging rate of this chipset would sit comfortably between the Snapdragon 870 and the Snapdragon 888, rated at 75W. For a midrange chip, this sounds amazing. This chipset would most likely appear on the so-called flagship killers like the Poco F3 and the Realme GT series.
