OR forget the Nintendo Switch OLED and wait for the Steam Deck. It’s a much better deal.
The OLED version of the Nintendo Switch has arrived in the Philippines. The main difference between the old Switch and this is the OLED screen (as obviously stated) but there are also a number of improvements like a wider kickstand, a larger 64GB internal storage as well as improved speaker system. Minor improvements, but quite an expensive price. That’s Nintendo for ya.
Datablitz has posted on Facebook that the new Switch OLED is now available across physical and online channels. According to DataBlitz, the new Switch is being sold in two separate bundles. The first containing the Switch + Game and Watch, and the second bundle contains the Switch + two games of the buyer’s choice.
For the second bundle option, here are the list of games that will be offered:
- Dragonball Fighter Z
- Fire Emblem: Warriors
- God Eater 3
- Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
- Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition
- Persona 5: Scramble The Phantom Strikers
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD
- Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin
- Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition
- Tokyo Mirage Sessions: #FE Encore
PRICING:
- First Bundle option (Switch + Game and Watch): Php 24,995
- Second Bundle option (Switch + Two Games): Php 24,995
OR you can skip the Nintendo Switch OLED and wait until the Steam Deck arrives, which offers a greater library and you’ll be supporting a company that doesn’t destroy its fans, customers and developers. It’s such a small improvement for such a stupidly expensive price tag. We recommend going for the regular version unless you wanted the 7in. OLED so badly. OR you can get yourself a makeshift Switch OLED by emulating its games on a powerful gaming phone. Almost all come with OLED and high refresh rates.
