The Zeiss-powered Vivo X70 series will become official in the Philippines this 8th October!

Did we mention it has Zeiss optics? These are truly photography and videography centric phones.

The X60 series was a success when it launched in the Philippines. Contributing to its success are its aggressive marketing as well as stellar cameras that are worthy for a flagship, which includes the Zeiss coating and gimbal stabilisation. Now, Vivo has announced that its successor, the X70 series, will reach the Philippines next month!

The Vivo X70 series boasts the same features as its predecessor: gimbal-like stabilisation, OIS and Zeiss lens. Other features of the global version of the handset includes a 6.56in. AMOLED screen, a 6nm custom-built Mediatek Dimensity 1200 processor. The main camera has 40mp resolution while the other two are, frankly useful 12mp ones, which includes an ultrawide camera with 116° FOV and a telephoto with 2x optical zoom. For selfies, the phone is complemented by a single 32mp camera on a dot notch.

For the battery, the phone is powered by a 4400mAh battery coupled with 44W fast charging. According to the spec sheet, there’s no listed wireless or reverse charging support, which is a shame, but that could be cost-cutting measures. The phone also lacks a headphone jack.

The phone can do 4K video at 30 or 60fps, which is quite impressive and expected for a flagship. It is unknown whether the Pro and the Pro+ would also come to the Philippines. The X60 Pro was launched here so it’s more likely the Pro variant would also launch, the Pro+ was never launched in the Philippines by the way.
