An in-display camera is its biggest highlight, and we expect that
Xiaomi has announced on Weibo that the Mi Mix 4 would be launching. The date is August 4 and it will launch 7:30PM local time.
The company did not release hardware specs but since this is the Mi Mix series, expect flagship level specs, including a Snapdragon 888 5G processor, OLED display and high refresh rate.
A reliable Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, has released a video of what appears to be the display of the Mi Mix 4. There is no front camera when the screen is on, but when the screen is turned off, surprise surprise, the front camera suddenly showed up! This suggests that the Mi Mix 4 will have an in-display camera.
Xiaomi did confirm that the phone will come with MIUI 12.5 out of the box, although they did not announce an upgrade to MIUI 13, this may be one of the phones getting such an upgrade soon in the future.
A set of leaks and renders also show the phone with a rear display just like the one seen on the Mi 11 Ultra. The display sits beside the quad camera setup, the same way the Mi 11 Ultra does. Take note these are speculated renders and that this display may or may not be available on the actual device.
