The successor to the flagship Snapdragon 888 5G processor, SM8450, has its specs leaked.


A tipster from Twitter has revealed new specs about Snapdragon 888’s successor. Though it has no official name yet, it has a model name of SM8450.

Evan Blass is a reliable tipster that revealed the specs of the said successor of the Snapdragon 888. In the tweet, he said that this processor will be fabricated on a 4nm process. In addition, the processor will be equipped with Snapdragon X65 5G modem launched February this year that would bring superior speeds of up to 10Gbps on both standalone and non-standalone networks.

For the CPU and GPU, the said chipset will have a Kryo 780 octa-core CPU built on an ARM Cortex v9 technology and the GPU is an Adreno 730 GPU. The VPU (video processing unit0 is Adreno 665 while the DPU (Display Processing Unit) is Adreno 1195. In addition, the chipset supports a quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM.

We have to wait for official reports from Qualcomm to know more about this particular flagship chipset!
