Today, HMD Global has released an update roadmap for its Nokia-branded smartphones. This roadmap shows which phones will get Android 11 and at which quarter.
In this roadmap, the first phones to get the update are the Nokia 8.3 5G and 3.2 respectively, then in between the first and second quarters are four phones, the Nokia 2.2, 2.3, 4.2, and 8.1. On the second quarter, it’s mostly Nokia’s midrangers. Lastly, on the third quarter, comes some of their older or midrangers, including the 6.2 and 7.2, as well as the flagship Nokia 9 Pureview.
There are also a report from XDA Developers saying that Nokia is struggling with the update, as they have noted the delayed timeline from its original update schedule in comparison to its revised one. For example, the Nokia 9 Pureview update has been pushed to Q3 instead of Q2 and some of its budget phones like the Nokia 2.3 have been pushed to an unknown date between the first and second quarters.
