The successor to the Asus Zenfone 7, the Zenfone 8 has been announced to be unveiled this 12th May, and so, to hype up its users, Asus will release a series of teasers, starting with the form factor.
This is a recent tweet by Asus revealing that the Zenfone 8 would come with a dot notch, meaning it may drop the more interesting swiveling camera seen on the Zenfone 6 and 7. Based on the “smooth” teaser seen on the tweet, the phone may have a high refresh rate, possibly 120Hz.
However, we cannot rule out the possibility that there will still be a variant with a flip camera. This might just be a regular “vanilla” version of the Zenfone 8, and the “Pro” variant should come with a flippy camera providing that Asus will not ditch the technology just yet.
As a flagship, expect typical flagship specs: Snapdragon 888 processor, AMOLED, innovative and great camera software processing and fast charging.
There may be a compact-sized edition (similar to the iPhone 12 Mini) of the Zenfone 8 series as teased previously during the live event invitation.
