Realme previously released the Realme 8 series, however none of them seem to support 5G. So later this month, Realme announced that they would release a 5G version of the Realme 8.
The announcement came from Realme Thailand, and have released a short promo video, as seen above.
Unlike the over-the-top design the Realme 8 series have, this one does not have the slogan “DARE TO LEAP” written all over the back (in my opinion, it looks better that way). Like its siblings, it still comes with a quad camera setup.
From the promo video above, nothing much is revealed than the design of the phone. This video was taken off Realme Thailand. According to GSMArena, the Realme 8 5G would have a 48mp shooter instead of a 64mp one seen on the Realme 8.
Also, the design looks similar to the Realme V13 5G. That phone came with Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G SoC, a 6.5in. 90Hz FHD display and a 48mp camera. That phone also does not have the DARE TO LEAP slogan written at the back, plus the camera hump looks similar as the one shown in the promo video. If this was the case, then the Realme 8 5G may be a renamed Realme V13 5G for global markets. Let’s wait for confirmation
