The successor to the popular Realme 7 series has recently been announced in the Indian livestream! The phones come with interesting specs and aggressive pricing!
Let’s start with the Realme 8.
Realme 8
The Realme 8 comes in a neo-futuristic design in which Realme calls “Future Digital Design”. After the debating rumours in what processor it comes with, we finally have confirmation: It will launch carrying the Mediatek Helio P95 inside.
The Realme 8 series will be the first phones to come with Realme UI 2.0. Both will run Android 11 out of the box
For the cameras, it comes with the not-so-boring and not-so-overused camera setup. It will launch with a 64MP sensor, 8mp ultrawide and dual 2mp macro and depth.
For selfies, you get a single 16mp sensor on the dot display.
It will come with Realme’s proprietary 30W “Dart Charge” Fast Charging tech, which charges the phone from 0-100 in just 65 minutes, according to Realme. For the battery, it has a large 5000mAh battery.
Pricing:
In India, there are are three options: 4/128, 6/128 and 8/128. The phone will be available tomorrow, 25th March on participating stores and realme stores.
It comes in two colours: Cyber Silver and Cyber Black

Realme 8 Pro
The Realme 8 Pro is the bigger star in the picture. It is designed with a matte finish instead of the glossy one that Realme 8 has.
For the processor, you know how much Realme loves the Snapdragon 700 series, so they pitted the Snapdragon 720G onto the phone.
For the cameras, it also comes with the unique quad camera setup that every other phone have. It is the same as the Realme 8 except that the main sensor is a 108mp Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor.
Like the Realme 8, the 8 Pro comes with a 6.4in. SAMOLED display and Realme UI 2.0 skin on top of Android 11. Realme has not specified the refresh rate for both phones.
Like Realme 8, it comes with the same 16mp sensor for selfies.
For charging and battery, it comes with 50W “Dart Charge” Fast charging technology, which charges the phone from 0-100 in just 47 minutes, according to Realme. It comes with a slightly smaller battery with a capacity of 4500mAh
Pricing:
The Realme 8 Pro comes in three colours: Infinite Blue, Infinite Black and Illuminating Yellow. The Yellow colour variant glows in the dark.

Again, let’s wait for Realme PH’s official pricing and availability. In India, sales start tomorrow, 25th March on Flipkart and other participating stores as well as Realme stores.
Other Announcements:
Aside from the two phones, Realme is also launching three new IoT products: The Realme Smart Scale, Smart Bulb and Buds Air 2. It is currently unknown whether Realme PH would also bring these IoT devices in the country. Below are their DIRECTLY CONVERTED prices:

Realme is also offering an upgrade plan for Indian users. Users can pay only 70% of the phone and then pay the remaining balance or upgrade it again to the next phone in the series, which is more likely the Realme 9
Realme has also hinted a watch at the end. It’s a quick and subtle shot, which they have not discussed as much, it’s possibly the new Realme Watch S.
The Watch comes with a stainless steel case and over 100+ watch faces. It comes with a 1.4 in AMOLED display and sensors including Heart Rate Sensor, Blood/Oxygen Sensor. It also comes with 15 sports modes for health and fitness. It also has 390 mAh battery that lasts for two weeks, as advertised.
For the price, the Realme Watch S costs 4,999 INR (~3.3K php). We’ll wait for Realme PH’s announcement for pricing and availability.
