Samsung Revealed the Launch Date of the New Galaxy A37 and A57

The chip on the Galaxy A57 is a lot better this time.

Samsung officially announced the release date of the middle-of-the-line range of the A-series lineup, the Galaxy A37 and A57. This was spotted on Samsung India’s Twitter/X account, teasing the new phones.

As seen from the tweet, the Galaxy A37 and A57 are launching on March 25 in Los Angeles and New York at 5:00AM and 8:00AM respectively. Although it was Samsung India that posted it, expect that Samsung would make the devices available for all users globally, as they always do. While there are no official renders or models seen yet, official-looking renders, courtesy of Evan Blass, were shared online.

The renders show the phones with a simplistic design just like the Ax6 series were, and a triple camera setup. Colors are again branded on the “Awesome” lineup. For the A57, these include Awesome Lilac, Awesome Icy Blue, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Navy. The Galaxy A57 may sport E-SIM support. We’re not quite sure yet if it covers the Philippines but many phones within its range do have E-SIM support already. The A57 will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 1680 chip. Compared to last year’s Exynos 1580, the Exynos 1680 trades an efficiency core for a performance core. It is also manufactured on a 4nm process. The phone, in theory, should have performance similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or the MediaTek Dimensity 8400.

The Galaxy A57 will also transition from using a plastic frame or back to a metallic one. This makes the experience feel more premium and makes the phone appear a lot more durable.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A37 comes in Awesome Greygreen, Awesome Lavender, and Awesome Charcoal. Now, you can tell which phone is which from the two nearly identical-looking phones. Another way to determine if the phone is an A37 or A57 is to look for the bezels. The A37’s bezels are slightly thicker. The phone also uses a weaker chipset, the Exynos 1480. Don’t fret. The A37 uses the same chip as the A55 so it should still feel like a direct upgrade to the A36.
