Kind of a quirky and odd design. Case makers, good luck with this.

After a long series of teasers, Nothing has officially launched the Nothing Phone 3, and Digital Walker has set a price for this somewhat transparent wackily designed phone at a convenient PHP 44,990 tag. It’s a flagship through and through, and comes with specs exactly with that in mind.
One thing you’ll notice is the peculiar camera arrangement. Yes, the top camera is positioned in a way that is angled and the other two are adjacent. Someone might have forgotten to turn off the rulers in Illustrator while designing this because there are still measured lines within the phone, that, or it’s part of the aesthetic.
The phone has ditched its iconic glyph interface for a more conservative glyph matrix. Yes, that tiny screen with dots on the top right-hand side of the handset is the new glyph interface which can display notifications and change imagery. The glyph interface, the fancy lighting at the back is what made the Nothing Phones unique and is quite a quirky design choice.
Enough about the design, the actual specs of the phone is as follows. The Nothing Phone 3 features a 6.67″ 10-bit AMOLED screen protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. This screen has 120Hz refresh rate. Nothing out of the ordinary but most flagships would have opted for brighter 12-bit colors. Not only that, but this display isn’t the adaptive LTPO type, so you can only go a static refresh rate, which might make the experience finnicky.

It sports a not-so-flagship but also not-so-midrange chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It is a toned-down Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with performance higher than that of the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3. It is somewhere between the Dimensity 9400e and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The phone has 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. You can also opt for the 16/512 version if you got more cash to spare.

The phone comes with a set of four 50MP cameras. Three of them at the back and the other as the selfie camera, and each serve different purposes. The main lens has OIS with 24mm focal length and f/1.68 aperture. Meanwhile, the other 50MP is a 114-degree ultrawide and the third 50MP camera is a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 6x lossless zoom. As expected, it also has OIS. The front camera is a typical selfie camera with 24mm focal length and 81.2-degrees field of view.
It has quite a conservative battery in a time when Android manufacturers are having a muscle contest for the world’s bulkiest batteries. It’s a 5500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. It is made of a Silicon-Carbon material, so it actually conserves space for other more important components. The Nothing Phone 3 is capable of wireless charging of up to 15W and reverse charging.

While the glyph interface is gone, it has been replaced by a dot matrix display, the small circular screen at the top right corner. This display has custom animations and give you notifications for certain apps. Yes, it’s like the ones on the ROG Phone series.
The phone is available for purchase via Digital Walker for PHP 44,999 for the 12/256 variant and PHP 50,999 for the 16/512 variant. It has gotten more expensive since the Nothing Phone (2) but that’s because the company is pushing for a more flagship experience than before. Remember that the first Nothing Phone got a midrange chipset in it which the company advertised as a flagship, and an appropriate price tag. They’ve got a long way.
There’s also the headphones, the Headphone (1). But that’s for another article, in another century when we decide to write again.
The phone comes in Black or White. Simple, no fancy color names, just pure Black or White.
