If you use DITO’s 5G services, it feels like you’re using home Wi-Fi with minimal lag!
OpenSignal, the agency responsible for benchmarking telecoms companies around the world, has named DITO as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines as of April 2025. The newly established telecoms company was awarded 14 of the 16 possible awards including those for reliability and 5G-related benchmarks, such as video experience and upload speeds.
“The recognition reflects DITO’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class mobile experiences to Filipinos,” shared Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity.
The company focuses most of its networks using 5G standalone (SA) infrastructure. In terms of recorded performance, DITO scored 280.8Mbps in 5G download speeds, double than its competitor. Its 5G upload speed record is 16.1Mbps. The brand also managed to score wins in the Wi-Fi sector as the company expands to home Wi-Fi both on prepaid and postpaid through its WowFi line.
DITO also stated that they maintained to being the most reliable network for the third time, continuing its streak. OpenSignal scored DITO 853 points for reliability and also said to have a 60.9% consistent quality score, the highest for any network and allowing DITO to bag a fourth-time continuous winning streak in terms of consistent quality.
While these scores are quite impressive and shows what DITO is capable of at its best, there may be times these scores are not felt mainly because some DITO users are in an area where signals are weak or not as approachable. DITO is quite consistent in terms of speed and quality around Metro Manila where 5G signals are highly prevalent. These scores are merely benchmarks, and actual quality may depend on various factors, such as the device you use, the signals around you, and the level of infrastructure DITO has around your area.
