The Tecno Spark 30 Pro has Rolled Out!

This phone transforms the series from a budget phone to a pseudo pro-level camera!

Tecno launched a more powerful version of the Spark 30. If you thought that phone was a little underwhelming, the Spark 30 Pro is a whole different story. It feels and appears to be a watered-down Camon 30 Pro, down to the design and camera.

The phone comes in two colors. Obsidian Edge and Arctic Glow. The way Transsion names their colors is quite interesting. Still, it doesn’t sound as silly as the first Google Pixel.

We find it odd that this phone only has an IP54 rating while the base Spark 30 is IP64. Not that it has a significant effect on real-life usage but this one has a weaker guarantee. This dust and water resistance test is conducted by SGS Labs and real-time usage will differ from user to user.

The main deal with the Spark 30 Pro is its 108MP primary camera and 120Hz flat AMOLED display. The camera island is taken directly from the Camon 30. Although, it still lacks that same flair that the Camon 30 has. Mainly, other functioning cameras. There is technically only one here and the others are just there for design purposes. The selfie camera has 13MP resolution.

The phone is indeed more powerful than the base Spark 30. It now uses a more appropriate chipset, the Helio G100, which is basically a slightly more powerful G99 so that’ why you don’t see a lot of brands talk about it and still uses the popular G99. At least this one is slightly different. With that said, the phone has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and a choice between 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging, which is a lot faster than the 18W that the Spark 30 came with. This charger is packed within the retail box so you don’t need to use a third-party charger. The phone features an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.

The phone also boasts great speakers other budget phones wish they had. The Tecno Spark 30 Pro uses real stereo speakers with Hi-Res certification, something you don’t hear often in this price range.

Tecno has not announced its availability of this phone in the Philippines yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Tecno Spark 30 Pro: Transformers Edition

If you’ve come down this far, then you also probably read the title. That isn’t just for show, it’s actually an opportunity for us to reveal that Tecno collaborated with Hasbro to bring you a limited-edition Transformers edition of the Spark 30 Pro to promote the new Transformers: One releasing in cinemas this month. There are two variants, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, and none for the Decepticons sadly.

Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro Transformers/Bayformers Edition

This isn’t the first time a phone brand collaborated with Transformers. Remember the Red Magic 7, 8, and 8S Pro? They had Transformers versions as well, and Megatron gets his own version too! It’s up to you to decide which one looks better. They all look aggressively cool to us.

Going back to the Spark 30 Pro, aside from the new design changes, as well as a few hidden easter eggs, the specs remain the same.
