We said in our review that 64GB is not enough even for casual users. Looks like realme listened and released a 128GB version of the note 50 at an additional PHP1,000 price. The additional price may be a little too much since adding another 1K gets you the C51. Basically the same phone but with a better 50MP camera. However, if you’re on a real tight budget but just want a phone that keeps you going, this is still a better option.

Looking back, we praised the note 50 for its surprisingly decent camera. We never had a budget phone that performs like a sub-10K midranger let alone at a sub-PHP4K price. The only real complaint about it was the storage since we couldn’t really test a lot of games on there (Mobile Legends ran smooth but there was also throttling. Tested in Baguio conditions). Thankfully, that issue is partially resolved thanks to more storage.

To recall, the phone is a typical budget phone consisting of a 6.74″ HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It uses a UNISOC Tiger T606 chipset with 4GB RAM and runs a lighter version of realmeUI called realmeUI R based on Android 13 Go Edition. The phone lacks a gallery and music app so this means you have to rely on Google Photos and YouTube Music for your music players by default unless you download a third-party app.

It also has a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging. It uses a USB-C port and also has room for a MicroSD Card and two SIM Cards altogether. There are “two” cameras. The primary wide camera is 13MP while the front is only 5MP. The secondary camera is the usual 2MP depth sensor for bokeh effects. Like the 64GB variant, the 128GB variant comes with the same two colours which are Sky Blue and Midnight Black.

This version of the phone seems to be exclusive to Lazada so the phone you’ll be buying outside and elsewhere will still be the much more affordable 64GB variant at PHP 3,599.
