After announcing a spew of charging technologies, including its “AllAround” technology, which revolves with the idea of a phone charging while also using at the same time. This new tech of theirs comes in a variety of charging rates, ranging from 180W to 260W. Here, instead of the phone getting power from the battery, it will take its power from the outlet instead.

Infinix is invited to CES 2024 and they will be presenting their so-called Air Charge technology which the company has been teasing for a while, they’re very excited to show you this one! This marks the first time Infinix has ever participated in an annual global event! The company has truly moved up to the world from an obscure smartphone maker straight to innovator.

So what is “Air Charge” supposed to be, anyway? According to Infinix, it’s a form of wireless charging but instead of your phone being stuck to a dock, you can charge it from anywhere. It’s not completely new as Xiaomi, Motorola, and OPPO have presented a similar technology before but none eventually came to fruition. It’s possible that Infinix’s iteration will have a similar fate as charging anywhere across the room is, for now, a mirage.

Infinix’s version of the Air Charge allows users to charge their phones as far as 20cm across the room, at angles as sharp as 60 degrees. As this technology uses some sort of radiation, particularly, electromagnetic waves, the company has decided to keep it at a low 6.78MHz frequency which is still deemed safe. The Air Charger can charge devices with a slow 7.5W rate, slower than even a sub-5K phone’s charger.

At CES 2024, Infinix will also present its extreme-temp battery concept which allows batteries to charge for temperatures as low as -40°C. The Philippines, being a tropical country, will not benefit from this technology but Nordic countries like Sweden, Finland, and Denmark will. The technology is intended to be used in areas where there is a winter season, such as Japan and the United States.
