Redmi 12 4G is Official in the Philippines!

Redmi Spark 10 Pro?

Today, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 12 4G. A premium-looking 5G phone with typical specs, including a MediaTek Helio G88 and a 90Hz FullHD+ IPS LCD screen. However, unlike your typical budget phone with a plastic back or a material that mimics glass, the Redmi 12 4G uses the real deal, real glass.

Aside from the aforementioned specs, the phone has a 50MP Primary camera and two other sensors which are the 2MP macro and 8MP ultrawide cameras. It’s getting rarer and rarer to see the ultrawide so we’re happy to see Xiaomi still included it. Your selfies are taken care of by the 8MP shooter. Aside from the fact it’s made of glass, the phone uses a dot notch display, so it has a modern design.

Another honorable mention here is the typical 5000mAh battery charged via USB-C. The company has been using this port since 2016, seven to eight years before Apple did. It comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM which is now the minimum standard. Both are expandable. RAM virtually (up to another 8GB) and the ROM via a MicroSD Card.

It also comes with the usual ports such as a 3.5mm jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 22.5W USB-C port (unusual since the company typically use 18W for budget phones), and connectivity options like 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 6/6e.

It is available in three colours which are Jade Black, Pastel Blue, and Moonstone Silver. It is priced at PHP 6,999. If you purchase today until September 29th, you can get the phone for PHP 1,000 less.
