Google Play is now available to download and play on PCs

Currently on beta

Android games have gotten so advanced lately. They can now compete with PC games; even dedicated Android handhelds and gaming phones have been made for that specific purpose. However, sometimes, we want to play our Android games somewhere mainstream, through our computers and the most common solution is to download an emulator such as Bluestacks.

Android Emulators may soon become outdated thanks to Microsoft and Google’s efforts. Recently, Google has released the PC version of Google Play which is currently in its beta stage. This allows you to play your favourite mobile games on PC without the clunky controls emulators have. In addition, because this is officially made by Google, you won’t run into security risks and would be more stable to use.

Below are the minimum specifications as stated by Google

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Aside from the games itself, Google Play Games have access to mouse and keyboard controls optimized for use on these select mobile games and you could integrate your Google Play Games account here to further accumulate points. It is currently available only on Windows and a Mac release is yet to be announced.

The Open Beta has launched in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States. Those living in these aforementioned countries with their PC being eligible based on the minimum specs can download the beta.
