No announcements whatsoever, it’s just released
The Infinix Note 12 series is a continually expanding series of phones. We came a long way. From Helio G88, to the star-studded VIP, and now, the Helio G99-powered Note 12 Pro 4G. Infinix may be taking the Xiaomi strategy wherein the company wanted to cover every type of audience as possible and so, releases phones with some minor alterations and possibly, a new design.
The Infinix Note 12 Pro takes on an entirely new design. The front camera still has the ugly u-shaped notch but the rear now has a circular ring with embedded smaller rings in a triangular position for its cameras. Like the Infinix Note 12 Pro 5G, the 4G counterpart has a 108MP primary camera. It is complemented by a 2mp depth lens and an AI camera. The front camera has 16MP resolution.
It is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, a 6nm chipset that is touted as a rival to the popular Snapdragon 680 and is an improvement over the Helio G96. It is paired with 8GB RAM (+5GB Virtual RAM expansion) and 256GB internal storage. It also comes with NFC as well as its own game booster.
In terms of its display, it is 6.7in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) AMOLED like the Note 12 Pro 5G. It has no high refresh rate which is a common weakness in all Note 12 series phones. It has a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
While it uses Android, Infinix did not specify which version although it is obvious that it is Android 12 coupled with xOS 10.6, Infinix’s own Android skin. It also has stereo speakers with DTS Audio. A common staple among Infinix’s higher-end devices.
It has a MicroSD card slot, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm port, USB-C port, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi 5.1. It comes in Grey, Blue, and Green. It was first seen in AliExpress and so the price is not official. It is listed for Php 12,485.11.
We’ll have to wait until Infinix releases it officially in the Philippines.
