Infinix releases the Note 12 G96 into the Philippines! 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and AMOLED all for Php10K

We were worried about the price of this phone since the specs are way too good for 10K. As if they’re competing with Xiaomi or something… Oh wait

There are three versions of the Infinix Note 12 but we’re thankful that the company decided to release the more powerful G96 version of the phone instead of the complete sidegrade G88 one. VIP version when?

Infinix has tapped Andrea Brillantes as ambassador. But remember, no matter how many or how famous a brand ambassador is, they probably won’t use the phone they’re sponsoring and would likely use iPhones often.

Anyway, let’s get ahead of the spec sheet. It’s quite an impressive one despite the lack of 5G. You get a 6.7 10-bit AMOLED with FullHD+ (2400x1080px) resolution. Unfortunately, there’s no high refresh rate, but hey, we can’t all be complainers at this price range.

Inside it is the Mediatek Helio G96. Infinix has partnered with MediaTek to be the first to release a Mediatek Helio G99-powered phone which we will cover in a future article. The phone is paired with 8GB RAM and a choice between 128 or 256GB internal storage. Both RAM and storage are expandable. The RAM virtually up to 13GB, and the storage via a MicroSD card slot, up to 2TB! Impressive.

The cameras are not so impressive. It comes with a typical 50MP + 2MP + VGA setup. So the phone is targeted at multimedia users as well as gamers. It comes with a dewdrop notch, which is considered outdated even at this price range. It is where the 16MP front camera sits.

The battery specifications are quite good. It comes with a 5000mAh battery that’s also complemented by 33W fast charging. It charges via USB-C. There is also a 3.5mm jack available, as well as stereo speakers with DTS Audio. In terms of security, Infinix provided a fingerprint sensor that also works as a power button.

It comes in Force Black, Sapphire Blue, and Snow Fall colour options. It starts at Php 8,999 for the 8/128 configuration and Php 9,999 for the 8/256 one. Despite it not being a punch-hole, we can still say these are killer specs for the price. It is available on Shopee and would be available on 12th June.

SPECS:

By the way, on launch date, users who manage to buy the phone on that date will have their phone customized with PUBG branding and will also come with a FREE PUBG-styled phone case. Side note: The phone case would be delivered separately so don’t expect it right out of the box.
