The Poco X4 Pro 5G is… just a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G with a different design

Companies out there are really intentionally mislabeling their phones as if it’s a “professional’s” phone.

A live render of the Poco X4 Pro has surfaced recently. It’s quite disappointing to hear the rumoured specs because the phone should have just been called the Poco M5 or something similar, as the “X” series is supposed to offer top-notch performance and it’s supposed to be a more budget-oriented version of the F series. The Poco X4 Pro 5G isn’t one of them, but we’ll tell you what it’s part of. It’s part of a deceptive marketing tactic to use the word “Pro” on every device that has nothing to do with the fact that it is used by professionals. The term is intentionally being misused to lure customers.

According to the latest reports, the Poco X4 Pro 5G is just a redesigned Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, similar to the Poco M4 Pro 5G being a redesign of the Redmi Note 11 5G. Inside the Poco X4 Pro 5G is a triple camera setup comprised of a 108mp Samsung HM2 sensor and possibly an 8mp ultrawide and a 2mp depth if we were to judge based on the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. It would most likely have a 6.7in. FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip that’s highly inferior to that of the DImensity 900, its supposed counterpart.

Speaking of cameras, some sample shots taken with this phone fail to impress. According to Smartdroid, to which the leaks came from and where the sample photos were taken, the phone has terrible-quality photos for a phone in the X series. It’s good enough on average but photographers should just look elsewhere.

Like the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, it will most likely have a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The post has since been deleted, most likely at the demands from Xiaomi to avoid the phone from being spoiled.

As these are rumors, please take the specs with a grain of salt. Though this might become the actual specs if we’re basing it on Xiaomi’s marketing.
