Both phones boast a long battery life and a 90Hz screen.
Nokia has launched two similar handsets, the G11, and the G21. Both of these phones are marketed to have a long-lasting battery life as well as being secure.
Nokia G21
The Nokia G21 is the more studded of the two. It features a 6.5in. HD+ IPS LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate. The reason why Nokia didn’t go for an FHD+ screen is unknown, but HMD’s choices have been questionable lately, especially for their asking price. Their choice of chipsets and screens are lackluster in comparison to their expensive prices. They are banking on the name itself as well as the fresh stock Android experience.
Speaking of chipsets, the G21 uses a 12nm UNISOC Tiger T606 octa-core chipset. A chipset that performs similarly to the Helio G80 or G85. It has a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU embedded within the chip. This is paired with 4 or 6GB RAM and either 64 or 128GB storage options.
It has a triple camera setup at the rear. This consists of the usual: a 50mp main sensor, a 2mp macro, and a 2mp depth, both of which have no practical usage. The front camera is 8mp sitting on the horribly outdated waterdrop notch design.
Nokia has put a lot of emphasis in terms of the battery, despite the usual specifications. It has a 5050mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. A 10W charging brick and cable are included with the phone. Nokia said that it included multiple power-saving options that have been improved by taking lessons learned from previous handsets. The battery could potentially last for 3 days.
Other features include the side-mounted fingerprint scanner which also doubles as a power button and USB-C charging.
As with every other Nokia phone, the phone runs on Android 11 with fresh updates up to Android 13. The software is stock Android based on Android One.
