The Samsung Galaxy A01 is an ultra-budget phone with pretty basic specs: 2GB RAM with either 16 or 32GB storage and Snapdragon 439. Yep, your typical ultra-budget phone. However, there is a catch! This phone, unlike others, actually receives a software update, letting you upgrade it to Android 11, and OneUI 3.0
The update has been released in Russia. This update has firmware number A015FXXU4BUD8, which also brings the April 2021 security patch for the phone. Though, according to SAMMOBILE, there is no changelog yet; but they did say it should revamp the icons and have a refreshed look for the UI as well as new features that is featured on OneUI 3.0, including chat bubbles, one-time permission and lots more.
However, the update currently is applicable only to Russians. If you’re in Russia, then you may have received it OTA. You need to go to Settings>Software Update>Download and Install on your Samsung Galaxy A01.
