Have you got your notepads and credit cards ready?
It’s that time of the year again. Apple has just officially announced its new event being held at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park on September 9. The event will prominently feature the new iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10, and the 4th-gen Apple AirPods. This is also the first time Apple is releasing a phone on a Monday, wherein typically it’s a Tuesday, hence why a fake invite gained popularity
Just like last year, this event is a combination of both virtual and in-person, with special invites to selected media, for those who want to visit the Apple Park once more.
The new iPhone 16 phones are expected to be equipped with the new A18 Bionic, which will be revealed during the event. Moreover, the new AirPods 4 will feature ANC even on the non-Pro variant.
We don’t have accurate information to what the new iPhone 16 is going to be, but we can at least rely on the rumor mill for speculations. Reports say that the iPhone 16, for all models, will include a dedicated shutter button, which was previously available only to the iPhone 15 Pro models, known as the Action Button. This feature is similar to how Android brands do it, wherein, aside it being a dedicated shutter, it can also be reprogrammed to do actions or open apps at the user’s preference.
Of course, it cannot be a tech event in 2024 without mentioning AI. This September, Apple is preparing to unveil the full Apple Intelligence suite and other features previously announced earlier this year. In addition, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, MacOS Sequioa, and WatchOS 11 will be live soon. We’ll be showing you the list of compatible devices once available.
The event is already scheduled on YouTube, and as always, you can watch the event on Apple’s website. In the Philippines, it will be live at 1:00am, so forget your sleep schedule.
