We’d never thought we’ve seen the day when the Philippines variant is cheaper than the Indian variant.
Honor Philippines just launched the AI Portrait Master yesterday, well for the first time, there are TWO of them. Yes, the Pro variant is now available in the Philippines too! These two phones are nearly identical with each other and the price gap of the two phones are very slim, so it’s more enticing for you to choose the Pro over the regular version, or you can get the Honor 200 with very little compromises. It’s the best for both worlds!
We already have tackled both of them in a separate article, so this one is just a summary.
To recall, the Honor 200 Series’ main motif is that you can create studio-level portrait shots without actually needing to go to a real studio. This is why Honor partnered up with Harcourt Studio in France and have specially designed filters. The most notable is the B&W filter that makes your images look absolutely kino. This is, of course, driven by AI-enhanced algorithms and surprisingly, we too are impressed to how the images turned out
To recall, the Honor 200 is a midrange smartphone with a luxurious design, akin to its competitors such as the Vivo V30 and the Oppo Reno12. The design is mainly inspired from European artworks. As with the Honor 90 previously, the AMOLED display of the Honor 200 is curved and features 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, not surprising for its price, and we pretty much have expected it even before its launch in China. It features a 5200mAh SiC battery, allowing Honor to squeeze in as much power as needed with a smaller-sized compartment, making the phone lighter. And speaking of batteries, there is 100W fast charging here too.
The phone, like the Honor 90, has 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and comes in Emerald Green, Moonlight White, and Black. For those who were anticipating Coral Pink, then better luck next time. Who knows? Honor Philippines might release it as a limited-edition colour if the demand is promising enough. It costs PHP 24,999 to purchase and its price is very very close to its native Chinese variant.

HONOR 200 PRO
The Honor 200 Pro is almost the same as the Honor 200, albeit with a few differences that makes the phone still a good choice to buy if you’re willing to spend PHP 29,999.
The cameras are mostly the same, a 50MP+50MP+12MP setup but the primary sensor is different. See, this one uses an “H9000″ sensor, bigger than what the Honor 200 offers (1/1.3″ vs 1/1.56”). The chipset here is the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. A chipset that’s only slightly weaker than the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and its performance rivals the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. For MediaTek users, the 8s Gen 3 is basically Qualcomm’s Dimensity 7200. It still has 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM.
Of course, the AI Engine and Harcourt effects remain. In fact, this is the phone we’ve used to shoot the aforementioned images above in the slideshow. Another notable difference is that the Honor 200 Pro features 66W fast wireless charging which makes the phone slightly heavier (approximately 12g) than the Honor 200, but that’s because for wireless charging to work, the phone needs a copper magnetic coil. Aside from that, the battery and charging rate are the same, a 5200mAh SiC with 100W fast charging respectively.
