We are always happy for Vivo’s T-series as it always hit everything right when it comes to value!
Vivo’s T-series, short for “Turbo” is the brand’s answer to a growing demand of budget performance phones, especially in countries like India and the Philippines. The company launched the very successful T1x here. Now in its third generation, the T3x again features specs that are worth its value. If priced just right, then this is Vivo’s main fighter to brands like Transsion and Xiaomi.
Enter the T3x! A budget phone with a really good flair. Its main highlights include the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, a chipset intended to replace the Snapdragon 695 with 4, 6, or 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, which is somewhat questionable given that many phones now provide at least 256GB even at the lower end. Another feature mentioned are the IP65 rating which is very rare for budget phones and a large 6000mAh battery with 44W fast charging, Vivo’s standard.
The phone uses a 120Hz IPS LCD screen with FHD+ resolution. At least they got this part right and if ever we get to review it, we will not complain. What we like about this phone is its color options. See, none of them are black and because of this, they stand out. A ring camera island is all the rage right now too, so this is a wise decision. The back features the colors Crimson Bliss and Celestial Green. Two colors that were based on Vivo’s pre-existing devices such as the V29e.
Speaking of cameras, there are nothing worthy. At the back is a 50MP Primary with a 2MP macro and at the front is an 8MP selfie camera. Vivo also mentions of stereo speakers but even the hero image only gives you one speaker. So you may be asking where’s the other? Well, the other is a virtual speaker. Crank up the volume to 300% so you could feel the effects. Although, we’re not exactly keen on this feature since it does not provide the same experience because it is all software tuned. Real stereo speakers still provide a more immersive experience.
The phone is pretty affordable for what it asks for. Normally, you would get an IP53 here but Vivo bumped it up to a notch making this level comparable to a flagship. Even the OnePlus 12 provided only this much. The phone costs initially at INR 13,499 (~PHP 9.4K) and at that price, the phone is quite the value!
Sadly though, it is not available yet but we’re hoping Vivo Philippines does bring it here
