We need to put a disclaimer here so it is not misleading.
Oppo’s Reno series is something of an Enigma. When it started, it was supposed to be the brand’s “concept” devices wherein it showed unique and unusual design choices to see if it appeals to the public. That was the case until the Reno4. However, nowadays, the series effectively replaced the F-series that was popular in the Philippines from early 2013 to early 2017. This is why you see Oppo advertising the phone as a camera-centric device, with a high emphasis on portrait shots. The series then received its permanent tagline “The Portrait Expert”.
With the Reno11 and Reno11 Pro being slotted to the luxury midrange to budget flagship lines, the Reno11 F is slotted below it, in the same fashion as its competitors like the Samsung Galaxy A34, realme 12 5G, and the Honor X9b. Although it is in the lower-end, it still is equipped with competitive cameras that, with the proper tuning and settings, can turn them into professional-like images, just as well as its higher-end siblings would.
For instance, the phone carries a flagship-tier sensor from Omnivision, it’s the 64MP OV64B. This also has a narrow f/1.7 aperture so you can more naturally achieve that stylish Bokeh effect everyone seems to be fond over these days, including us! Though, its complementary cameras are more modest and typical, most likely, to keep costs down. These include the 8MP ultrawide and of course, the 2MP macro helper. “Helper” being used in the loosest sense. The selfie used here is the same as its siblings and its predecessor, a 32MP camera.
To see what this phone is actually capable of, check out these photos from Oppo’s press release! They were shot by different creators such as Bryan Rillaroza of Technobaboy and Joaquin Segovia of Yugatech!
Oppo is also boasting its night mode capabilities which when looked at first glance, appears to have been shot by a professional DSLR. We’re hoping this isn’t the case because there are already some brands accused of cheating the system, such as Huawei. But at least they corrected their mistake and apologized.
Aside from these, the Reno 11F features a 6.78″ 120Hz OLED screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, IP65 water/dust resistance, a 5000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, and 5G connectivity. You can get the phone for PHP 18,999 at any authorized third-party seller, Oppo’s official Lazada, TikTok, and Shopee stores, and concept stores nationwide.
