The Vivo V30 Pro Launches Tomorrow! Price Revealed Ahead of Launch!

Let’s see how good those ZEISS Lenses actually are

Today, vivo will be launching the V30 series with a live event taking place in The Manila Hotel. Two phones are expected to be launched, the Vivo V30 and V30 Pro, the latter has ZEISS Lenses which is an exciting development for the series! Of course, let’s not forget the ring light (more like a square really) flash that works like a soft light!

The price has been revealed early, possibly to set expectations, especially with a phone that has ZEISS Lenses. It is most likely expected to have flagship-level pricing based on this alone. Thankfully, this isn’t the case. It’s way more affordable than most flagships. SPOILER ALERT: it’s PHP 34,999 (12/512). Meanwhile, the V30 is priced at PHP 24,999 (12/256) and PHP 27,999 (12/512). Only one of these has ZEISS Lenses, and you can easily guess which one.

Vivo V30

The Vivo V30 is the base variant, if it wasn’t obvious. This phone has a lot of differences against its more PRO sibling, mainly the lack of the ZEISS Lenses. If you guessed it right, have a cookie.

It’s a midrange phone in all respects. Although it doesn’t have those special lenses and treatment, its cameras are still flagship-like, consisting of a triple all-50MP camera setup. Two at the back and one at the front. What’s absent is the telephoto lens because only the professionals should handle that.

Kidding aside, the telephoto lens is absent mainly due to pricing. Here, you’ll find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a chipset that rivals the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but with a slightly weaker GPU. The “s” in the name is a code for efficiency, and in Qualcomm’s language, this also means better video and photo which is the main goal of this device.

You’ll also find a 6.7″ 1.5K AMOLED here, a resolution that’s a notch higher than the V29. Only the resolution was improved and the rest of its qualities namely the 120Hz refresh rate and 2800nits brightness, remained the same. That’s still a stark difference though.

In terms of battery life, the V30 comes with a 5000mAh battery alongside 80W Flash charge, or Vivo’s proprietary fast charging tech. If you happen to one own of these flash chargers, it will work here. Sadly no, this phone lacks wireless charging.

There are two colours both named after flowers. Green Tea and Petal White. In Shopee, it was previously listed as PHP 23,999 but the price slightly went up to PHP 24,999 (12/256). Not a lot of differences, we must say. However, this price might still change once the phone actually launches tomorrow.

VIVO V30 PRO:

When it comes to “PRO”, Vivo nailed it in this one. It’s not just some weird gimmick, instead, everything you come to expect of the highest in the series, is in the V30 Pro. ZEISS, a German optics company, is specially catered to photography professionals, hence why the name fits.

The Vivo V30 Pro is almost identical from the V30, particularly with the display, battery and charging, and connectivity. The processor is better and there is an additional 50MP camera now. This is the aforementioned missing telephoto camera from the V30. Also, in the Philippines, it will only come with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM, powered by a returning chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, previously used on the V27 Pro.

It comes in a wide array of colors. Namely, Bloom White, Waving Aqua, and Noble Black. It will launch alongside its vanilla sibling today. Pre-orders are also going to be available today.

You can tune in on the livestream on Vivo Philippines’ Facebook! It will launch tomorrow. March 20th.
