MWC: Honor Pad9 Launched With a Familiar-Looking Design

Did they borrow someone’s homework?

Back in MWC, Honor announced several new products, including the flagship Magic6 Pro. However, that’s for another day. Instead, we’re going to discuss one of their tablets released, the Pad 9. It’s interesting to discuss because of its familiar design. Reminds you a lot of either OnePlus or Oppo, no?

Anyway, aside from that, the tablet is a completely different world in comparison to both the OnePlus Pad and Oppo Pad 2. This one sits perfectly at the middle and comprises of a very high-res 12-inch 2.5K (2560x1600px) IPS LCD screen with TUV-Rheinland Blue Light certification, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, a fairly sized 8300mAh battery with a somewhat slow 35W charging rate, 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM, and eight speakers for that immersive loud experience.

The tablet also has a metal finish from the back to the frame. The panel is made of glass. This panel also houses the 8MP selfie camera while the back houses the 13MP shooter. It has no cellular services so you can’t use it for data and obviously you don’t want to use it for calls, right? Unless holding a massive tablet to your ear is your thing… Different tastes for different people we suppose.

It has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.

It comes in two colours: Cyan Lake and Space Grey. It has no official price yet in the Philippines.
