Rockchip? Oh dear.
Doogee Philippines must be having a blast in the Philippines as they keep releasing tablet after tablet, and with this many tablets released in a short notice, they might as well occupy the entire local tablet market here. They cover every market possible where a tablet might be needed. From mainstream down to even children’s entertainment. This is the U10 and U10 Kid.
The only difference between the two is the casing. The U10 Kid features a silicone kickstand with colorful visuals, almost like those rubber kickstands you see at your local smartphone kiosk. The U10 features a 10.1″ LCD screen with 1280x800px resolution and L1 Widevine support so you can stream Bluey on Netflix for up to 4K HDR. The tablet features a Rockchip RK3566 quad-core chipset. If you haven’t heard of Rockchip, they mainly supply chipsets for set-top boxes, televisions, small remote-controlled devices, and mass-produced action cameras. They are not particularly known to supply smartphone manufacturers.
For its size, it features a small battery at 5060mAh. It charges using a 10W charger of course and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM. It features two speakers at the back as well as an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front.
It is now available in Lazada for PHP 4,499. The silicone kickstand costs PHP 900 more. That’s one expensive kickstand we must say.
