The Honor Pad X9, X6a, and X5 Plus are also in but adding these would make the title too long.
Today, HONOR Philippines held an event in Xylo, in BGC, in preparation for the launch of four of its new devices. These devices include the Honor 90 Lite (the first reason why you’re there), the Honor Pad X9 (the other reason why you’re there), the X6a, and the X5 Plus. All of these are budget devices, but the Honor 90 Lite is the most powerful between the three phones.
The phone is launched with a 6.7″ FullHD+ (2388x1080px) IPS LCD with the higher refresh rate being absent. This phone only has 60Hz refresh rate which puts it a little behind versus its competitors.
The phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, or for those who aren’t familiar, this is the Dimensity 700 so it uses the same architecture and 7nm process. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM.
The phone also has a 100MP Primary camera equipped alongside a 5MP Ultrawide and a 2MP Macro. The front-facing camera uses a 16MP sensor.
The phone lacks a headphone jack but this is partly compensated due to its “Extra Volume Mode”. It only has one speaker but with this mode, it will amplify the sound to the point it simulates actual stereo speakers. And not just that, the phone has Hi-Res certification too so for those who didn’t get the JBL Flip6. Well… that feature is almost packed here.
The Honor 90 Lite comes in Cyan Lake and Midnight Black. The latter will not go away soon because this is the company’s signature colour. To reiterate, its price is PHP 12,990.

HONOR X6a and X5 Plus:
These are the two other phones that Honor has released in its live event. They don’t differ a lot in terms of spec sheet and that’s probably why Honor decided to launch these two simultaneously. It adds to their inventory. Their only difference lies in the camera wherein the X6a has a 2MP depth sensor. What an upgrade.
Both phones have a waterdrop HD+ TFT LCD screen with 60Hz refresh rate. They also use a MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. The X5 Plus has 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM while the X6a has the same amount of RAM but has double the storage at 128GB.
Both phones also come with a 50MP Primary camera but the X5 Plus lacks the 2MP macro. Not that it’s a huge loss. Also, both phones come with a 5MP selfie shooter which is pretty low resolution.
Both of these phones use a USB-C port. Both the X6a and X5 Plus use a 5200mAh battery with 10W charging. The main colours are different, however. Aside from Midnight Black, the X5 Plus comes in Cyan Lake while the X6a comes in Sky Silver.
The X5 Plus costs PHP 5,490 while the X6a costs PHP 6,990.

HONOR Pad X9
Aside from the three phones, the company launched a tablet alongside. The X9 is a budget tablet sporting a premium metallic design, an 11″ WXGA+ (2000x1200px) IPS LCD screen, and six speakers with Hi-Res Audio! Moviegoers would definitely love this one.
The tablet has a modest battery size of 7250mAh charged using a slow 10W brick. Sadly, this is how far the tablet can support.
Aside from the display, the tablet uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset with LTE turned off because the tablet lacks any cellular connectivity. The Honor Pad X9 comes in Space Grey and is priced at PHP 11,990 (4/128). The attached keyboard is intended for a separate sale. Yes, there is a magnetic attachment underneath the tablet to connect the keyboard.
Cameras are not the highest priority for tablets so the Pad X9 came with a dual 5MP camera. One at the front and the other at the back.
The tablet is now available for pre-ordering.
