We’re quite fond of the design. It makes that OPPOrtunity glow
Two new phones from Infinix have arrived. These are the latest additions to the Hot series: Hot 30 and Hot 30i. The Play edition would come a little later. The designs of many smartphones can only go so much. Now they’re overlapping, especially with the brown Hot 30i which is reminiscent of the vegan leather Reno8 T.
Hot 30
The Infinix Hot 30 is your typical lower midrange smartphone but its back design is unique enough to tell it apart from its competitors, including a wavy pattern design. The phone retained the same chipset as the Hot 11s (there’s no Hot 12, only the Hot 20 series) which is the MediaTek Helio G88. It also retained the same FHD+ 90Hz display as its predecessor.
It features a dual camera at the back and a single 8MP camera housed on the dot notch. This dual camera is comprised of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera. Yeah, they did not specify it, but it’s quite obvious what it is.
Finally, we have the battery. It’s the usual 5000mAh capacity and 33W USB-C charging. Nothing much to say here. Also, it has virtual RAM, a MicroSD Card Slot, 4G LTE, a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm jack, and speakers with DTS Audio enhancement.
No word yet for pricing here but you have a storage option of 8/128.
Meanwhile, there’s also a Free Fire edition of the device with a customized box, a custom case, stickers, a cap, a custom SIM Ejector tool, an invitation card, and what appears to be a custom ID lace. The phone itself looks like the regular Infinix Hot 30 but the given case should make it look “limited edition”.

Hot 30i
The Infinix Hot 30i has a nearly identical design but of course, the specs are downgraded. There’s also an NFC version which comes with 8GB RAM and obviously NFC.
This one boasts a 90Hz refresh rate as well but the screen resolution is lower (1612x720px). It uses a UNISOC Tiger T606 chipset as well which performs similarly to the G35 and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (with virtual RAM of course).
There’s a 13MP primary camera with a 2MP depth secondary. Also, the phone has a waterdrop notch instead of a dot. This houses the same 8MP shooter as the Hot 30. Also, the charging speed is upgraded from the predecessor. It can now charge at 18W through a USB-C port instead of the usual 10W. It carries the same 5000mAh capacity though.
In terms of connectivity, you have 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a Side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a MicroSD Card Slot, Virtual RAM, and a headphone jack.
It is priced in the Philippines at Php 4,599 (4/128). However, it’s currently discounted to Php 4,299 for the early bird/pre-order price. It is exclusively available on Shopee.
