The long-running Vivo Y11 launched with a Helio P35 chipset.

BBK just seem to not let that ageing chipset go.

The Vivo Y11 is a phone that has been the company’s longest-lasting series. It initially started in 2014 and new generations are still being made to this day. This is the 2023 iteration of the popular budget phone.

Other users would definitely say that the phone is expensive. We’re thinking to ourselves “What are they expecting at a sub-7K price point?”. Yes, the chipset is really old and should be gone by now, but look at it this way, at least it’s not a MediaTek Helio A22. Also, this has 128GB storage. The first time the series got a storage bump from the usual 32 or 64GB.

It was announced already in China and sports OriginOS Ocean which is what Vivo calls “FunTouch OS” at home. It features a 6.51″ HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen. Also, it packs the MediaTek Helio G35 with a choice between 4 or 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. You know Android has gotten so demanding that even budget phones need to have a minimum of 6GB for them to function properly.

The cameras are pretty basic. There is a singular 8MP rear camera with LED flash at the back and a 5MP selfie camera on top of the waterdrop notch. It has a 5000mAh battery that thankfully charges on a 10W USB-C port. It has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.

Its price starts at CNY 899 (~Php 7.1K) for the 4/128 trim, and CNY 999 (~Php 7.9K) for the 6/128 trim. Vivo Philippines is yet to announce its availability here.
