Redmi 12C Philippines price REVEALED! An affordable Helio G85 device at Php 5,499!

We told ya, it’s below 10K, and also, below 7K! Did we mention it uses a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset?

Yesterday, March 23rd, Xiaomi brought the budget Redmi 12C to the Philippines at a surprisingly great price. It’s a MediaTek Helio G85 phone worth Php 5,499 (3/32). Even its highest-end variant is only Php 8,999 (6/128). Other phones that use the same chipset are usually priced much higher, even though that’s not necessary. The Redmi 12C proves that.

To recall, the phone is your usual budget phone but its back panel is designed in a diagonal stripe pattern for extra grip. Yes, it’s obviously made of plastic. For starters, the display is a 6.71″ HD+ (1612x720px) IPS LCD. The camera system is lead by a 50MP primary camera alongside a useless VGA camera. Guess Xiaomi is following Transsion’s way of designing a budget camera system. The selfie camera has a crappy 5MP resolution on a waterdrop notch.

There is your usual 5000mAh Li-ion battery with 10W charging. This is charged via an outdated MicroUSB port (outdated for smartphones, that is.). Its main feature is really the chipset. Others would have resorted to something like the Helio G25 and G35. Here, it’s the good ol’ MediaTek Helio G85.

It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock as well. Also, it has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6/6e, Bluetooth 5.1, and frankly lacks an IR Blaster. It does stil have a 3.5mm jack. Also this phone has NFC, so you could use it to pay wirelessly.

Colours include Graphite Grey, Ocean Mint, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple. It’s currently on its early bird pricing where the 6/128 variant is temporarily discounted to Php 8,599.

It is available via Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. For buyers who prefer going offline, you could spot it easily in any Xiaomi authorized reseller. Users who purchase the latter three variants (3/32, 4/64, 4/128) would be able to avail a FREE Mi Compact Bluetooth Speaker worth Php 599. Meanwhile those who will pick up the 6/128 variant will receive a FREE pair of Redmi Buds 3 instead.
