Honor returned, now ZTE. The trifecta of gaming phones would soon unite!
It seems like there is an influx of smartphone manufacturers returning to the Philippines. Is it really high time? Is the Philippines becoming more technologically competent? ZTE believes so and that’s why they sent public invites to join their momentous return.
The invite above was sent to media partners, and the company’s social media pages hinted the Axon 40 Ultra will be their main starting point. Starting off strong with a flagship eh? We’re also expecting the official return of the RedMagic series of gaming phones and the Blade series of budget phones. Currently, their gaming phones are only available via Xundd but that may soon change.
The Axon 40 Ultra is your typical flagship but with one major difference: it uses a hidden front camera! Remember when companies actually grew fond of that idea? ZTE does, and they’re continuing to develop such a tech even today. The latest RedMagic phone possess it.
The Axon 40 Ultra went global last November. It features a rectangular 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (the first version, not the plus) chipset with 8+128/256GB RAM/storage configuration, a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging, and a triple 64MP camera array. It also has a 16MP in-display front camera.
Specifically, these cameras include the 64MP primary, ultrawide, and telephoto with 5.7x optical zoom and OIS. All three are capable of recording in 8K.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, Hi-Res Audio, NFC, and MyOS based on Android 12.
ZTE will mark its official return on February 21st.
EDIT: ZTE told us it’s not a public event. Nevertheless, you could still go to their Facebook page to be updated about the Axon 40 series and other upcoming devices.
What other phones from ZTE do you want to return? Let us know in the comments.
